TIPFF 2011 Call for Submissions
TIPFF invites submissions of films and videos, of all genres, that are produced by Luso-Canadian filmmakers or filmmakers of Portuguese heritage from around the world focusing on Luso-descendant language, talent and culture. This year we want filmmakers to explore how information vehicles such as Facebook, Twitter and You Tube are effecting our society today. The films may be in any language however if not in English/Portuguese please include Portuguese/English subtitles respectively.
Special consideration will be paid to cinematic works:
- Explore Facebook, twitter and You Tube
- that present cultural perspectives of Luso-Canadianism
- produced and filmed in Canada, Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, East Timor, Macau, Goa ( India)
- focusing on Luso-descendant culture in various parts of the world
- that will have the World or Canadian premiere at The Toronto International Portuguese Film Festival in 2009
Eligibility Criteria
- Entries must have a release date after 2007
- Pre-screening copies must be submitted on DVD NTSC Region 1 (preferred) or multi-zone)
- Each entry must be accompanied by a completed entry form. Multiple entries may be sent in the same package.
- Films must include English subtitles
- Each application for each film must be accompanied by a submission fee of $15 (CDN)
Deadline for Entries
Final Deadline: October 09’ 2009

WE DO NOT ACCEPT WORKS IN PROGRESS
Entries must be received before deadline.
Entries must be accompanied with an entry application form and fee.
Submission results will be sent via email in October 09.
